Care that feels personal.

Hospice care is about more than managing symptoms. It’s about understanding the person behind the diagnosis, listening to what matters to them, and surrounding their family with the right care at the right time.

At Emerald Wings, that care is intentional. Our smaller caseloads allow us to know the people we serve, notice when something changes, and spend the time it takes to provide care that feels personal rather than rushed.

CARE, THE EMERALD WINGS WAY

Built around the person, not a checklist.

Every person comes to hospice with a different life, different needs, and a different idea of what comfort means. That’s where our care begins.

Our team works closely with patients and families to understand what matters now. Sometimes that means getting pain under control. Sometimes it means helping a family feel less overwhelmed, making space for an important conversation, or simply creating more good moments together.

There is no one way to experience hospice. Our role is to listen, understand, and shape care around the person in front of us.

OUR CARE

Support for every part of this.

Hospice Care

Comfort-focused care for people living with a life-limiting illness, with support for the family alongside them. We coordinate the medical, emotional, practical, and spiritual pieces of care so families can spend less time managing what comes next and more time together.

Pain & Symptom Management

Comfort can change everything. Our clinical team works to relieve pain, shortness of breath, nausea, anxiety, and other symptoms while continuing to adjust care as needs change.

The goal is not simply to manage symptoms. It’s to help each person feel as comfortable and like themselves as possible.

Personalized Care Plans

No two lives are the same, so no two care plans should be either.

We build each plan around the person—their needs, routines, wishes, relationships, beliefs, and what they want their days to look like. As things change, we change with them.

Emotional & Psychological Support

Serious illness affects more than the body. It can bring fear, uncertainty, grief, difficult conversations, and emotions that are hard to put into words.

Our team creates room for all of it, offering thoughtful support to patients and the people who love them throughout the hospice journey.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual care begins with listening.

Whether faith is central to your life, you’re questioning what you believe, or spirituality isn’t part of your story at all, we meet you where you are. Our support is shaped around your beliefs, values, traditions, and the things that bring you meaning and comfort.

MORE TIME FOR WHAT MATTERS

Small caseloads make a meaningful difference.

When nurses are responsible for fewer patients, there is more room to listen, notice, explain, comfort, and respond.

That was an intentional choice for Emerald Wings.

We want our team to have the time to know the people they’re caring for—not just their chart or diagnosis. It means conversations don’t have to be rushed, families have room to ask another question, and when something changes, there are people who already understand the person behind the need.

CARE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Because illness doesn't happen to one person.

When someone enters hospice, the people who love them are living through it too.

Questions change. Roles change. Families may find themselves making decisions they never expected to make while trying to simply be a spouse, daughter, son, sibling, or friend.

We care for that part of the journey, too. Our team offers guidance, education, emotional support, and reassurance so families don’t have to figure everything out on their own.

WHEN YOU NEED US

Care doesn't keep office hours.

Questions and changes can happen at night, over a weekend, or in the middle of a moment you weren’t prepared for.

Emerald Wings is available 24/7, with in-person triage when it’s needed. When you reach out, you’re connecting with people who understand hospice and are ready to help determine the next right step.

You don't have to wait for a crisis to call.

If something has changed, you’re worried about someone you love, or you simply aren’t sure what to do next, call us.

Sometimes one conversation can prevent an unnecessary hospital visit, bring symptoms under control sooner, or give a family the reassurance they need to move forward with confidence.
